Rotameter (also known as float flowmeter) is a variable area flow measurement instrument that measures fluid flow by changing the position of the float in the conical tube. It is suitable for liquid or gas media with small and medium flow rates. The following are its core functions and features:
1. Core function
Intuitive flow display
Directly indicates the instantaneous flow rate through the height of the float, without external power supply, suitable for rapid on-site observation (such as laboratories, small equipment).
Small and medium flow measurement
Typical measurement range:
Liquid: 0.1 L/h~100 m³/h
Gas: 5 L/h~3000 m³/h
Accuracy: ±1%~±2.5% (high-precision type can reach ±0.5%).
Low pressure loss design
The float has a simple structure and small pressure loss (usually <0.1 bar), which is suitable for low-pressure systems.
